STEM Integration

We integrate Science and Social Studies content and projects within our ELA & Math instruction utilizing a STEM approach to instruction and project-based learning.  Our students provide evidence, experiment with concepts, and share through presentations their reasoning and findings connected with their projects.  Every month we have an AVID showcase school wide with integrated STEM focuses to allow students to share and present their findings connected with their projects. STEM opportunities allow for students to take on the role of both the learner and teacher with their learning process.
